These are the words of Brené Brown who calls us towards fully embracing The Daring Way™.
Brené’s 2010 TEDx Houston talk,The Power of Vulnerability, is one of the top ten most viewed TED talks in the world, with over 11 million viewers.
The Daring Way™is an experiential curriculum based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown Ph.D., a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work.
For the past twelve years she has studied vulnerability, courage, shame and worthiness, and her research has been featured on PBS, CNN, NPR, The Katie Shown and numerous times on Oprah Winfrey’s Super Soul Sunday.
As a Certified Daring Way™Facilitator-Candidate (CDWF), I integrate The Daring Way™ method into my work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor with individuals and groups. I have found the ground breaking concepts to be particularly helpful with:
- quieting your inner critic
- embracing your imperfections
- cultivating trust in yourself and others
- see yourself as Christ sees you through Scripture
- embracing vulnerability as courage, not weakness
- letting go of perfectionism and the fear of what others think
- connecting with others in more meaningful and authentic ways
- deepening your sense of self-worth and belief that you are enough
Come join other courageous women as together we learn to see our vulnerabilities as strengths, recognize the shields we use that protect us from pain, and learn to live bravely every day by showing up in the arenas in our lives with authenticity.
We will learn from a multimedia library uniquely created for these workshops and groups, and then we will tap into the power of a group experience to gain the courage and hope from one another’s stories to delve into the arenas of our lives, and be empowered to learn that we are not alone.
Each participant will be given a 39 page workbook to keep as a resource and other gifts.
