Live Nation has announced that Denver-based rock group The Fray will play a show–with guests Barcelona and Oh Honey–at Malkin Bowl on Wednesday, June 18, in support of its fourth studio album Helios.
The Fray formed in 2002 when high-school friends Isaac Slade (piano, vocals) and Joe King (guitar, vocals) bumped into each other at a local guitar shop. The band–also consisting of Dave Welsh (guitar), and Ben Wysocki (drums)–achieved national success with its 2005 debut, featuring the hit singles “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and “How to Save a Life,” which went double-platinum.
Of the group’s latest album, Slade says: “This record is all about running to the front lines of what we’ve done and pushing our borders even farther. Electronic instruments, drum samples, enormous backing vocals, opening up our writing to folks outside our camp.”
Tickets for the all-ages show are priced at $45 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (April 4) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.
Tickets are also available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-50001-855-985-5000 and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
