The Gatekeeper Dialogue which will be chaired by Retired Senior District Judge Richard Magnus seeks to bring together Christian leaders across disciplines from different nations as an ekklesia to discern, share and address contemporary Environment, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) issues from a Biblical context with a Kingdom narrative.
The United Nations (“UN”) Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”) highlighted 17 ESG goals that aim to create, by 2030, a “world free of poverty, hunger, disease, and want, where all life can thrive.” The aim of the Dialogue is to discern and present a corresponding actionable biblical ESG framework and effective narrative from the Christian perspective as well as possible solutions. It will also serve as a Christian response to the issues to be raised at the World Economic Forum (WEF).
This inaugural event draws inspiration from Singapore’s spiritual destiny as an Antioch nation. Besides being a global hub for trade, services technology, and digitization, we are also called to be a hub for spiritual and thought leadership. The dialogue will be a discourse on the Christian narrative on the current socio-economic issues confronting a pandemic challenged world.
