Kim Phuc comes to Langley, B.C. to share her powerful story of healing following her horrific experience of being severely burned by a napalm attack during the Vietnam war. Join Kim at Church In The Valley in Langley on Wednesday May 20 at 7 PM for a night of inspiration and encouragement. The evening will also feature a live Q&A session.
Kim is the 9-year-old girl, pictured in the above Pulitzer-Prize winning photograph taken near Trang Bang, Vietnam. Today, Kim is an UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. Internationally, Kim communicates a message of dialogue and reconciliation to replace confrontation and violence as a means of settling conflicts. Further, her national and international charitable foundations provide medical and psychological assistance to child victims of war.
In addition to sharing her story, Kim will share about the importance of teaching young people to see the humanity and worth in every person, so that the tragic experience she went through never repeats itself.
