The Hope in the City Breakfast has become a special Christmas tradition, whereby Vancouver’s business community join together to ring in the holiday season, raise funds and awareness while, celebrating the work of The Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army appreciates the ongoing support demonstrated from a variety of local, caring corporations in Greater Vancouver. Through the care and financial assistance provided, The Salvation Army is better equipped to create significant and long-lasting improvements in local communities while providing essential services for those less fortunate.
ABOUT
The Event
More than ever, in these dark, divisive times, we need to support organizations like The Salvation Army, who, through their ongoing work with the most needy and most at risk among us, have continued to show us how to love our neighbours as ourselves.
The Salvation Army is an international Christian organization that began its work in Canada in 1882 and has grown to become the largest non-governmental direct provider of social services in the country.
The Salvation Army gives hope and support to vulnerable people today and every day in 400 communities across Canada and more than 120 countries around the world. The Salvation Army offers practical assistance for children and families, often tending to the basic necessities of life, providing shelter for homeless people and rehabilitation for people who have lost control of their lives to an addiction.
