The Selfish Giant
Youth & Family Event
Friday, May 2nd at 7:30pm and Saturday, May 3rd at 2:00pm & 7:30pm.
St Philip’s and The Diocesan Arts Ministry that brought you Godspell, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and A Christmas Carol presents a musical adaptation of the children’s story by Oscar Wilde. A cast of children and youth (and one adult giant) are directed by Claire Rice and Caitlin Reilley Beck.
The story is set in the giant’s beautiful garden. Upon his return from a prolonged absence, the giant finds a group of children happily playing in his garden and promptly ejects them then puts up a high wall to keep such trespassers out. Because of his selfishness, his garden becomes the sole domain of the North Wind, Snow, Frost and Hail.
The show lasts under an hour and is suitable to people of all ages!
Tickets are by donation to support youth and family ministry at St Philip’s and future productions of the Diocesan Arts Ministry. (Suggested Donation: $10, Tax receipt given: $50). For tickets email [email protected] or call Caitlin at (604)224-3238 (604)224-3238 ext 303.
