In order to facilitate a deepening of our understanding of our relationship with First Nations communities on whose land we live, we are organizing an opportunity for us to hear from Tsleil-Waututh Elder, Carlene Thomas, who will share her knowledge of the People of the Inlet and their relationship to this land and its waters. She is currently working with Sacred Trust Initiative, a group committed to preserving the waters of the Burrard Inlet. It is our hope that in deepening our understanding of the land we will also deepen our understanding of each other.
A light snack will be provided: Please bring some homemade jam to share if you can.
Childcare will be provided for this event.
