12/21/24’s Annual Vigil for the Silenced, Eve of 4th Advent Sunday: Noon @ 1st & Commercial
“Advent” marks the Church season of pondering engagement, then Christmas season’s 12 days
“Silenced” evokes what it means to feel silenced or crushed or left out or shut down or shut-out — the product of inequalities, accompanying indignities.
We signal faith communities call, with other networks, and some city councils for a Guaranteed Livable Income (GLI).
Admid insecurities of income, food, housing, energy & climate/health care, it’s time for reducing inequalities and as lawn signs/bumper stickers express:: for “dignity, hope, and health.”
Thanks in the Peace of the Christ whose birth, encountered “no room in the Inn”
