InspiraciĆ³n – Latin Roots from Two Hemispheres conducted by Sarit Aloni
The program highlight will be ‘La Misa Criolla’, an inspirational Argentinian folk-Mass by Ariel Ramirez, featuring Fabiana Katz, mezzo soprano, as soloist and accompanied by the amazing Allegro Latino playing traditional South American instruments.
Also the choir will be singing Faure’s ‘Cantique de Jean Racine’ and ‘Madrigal’, Stanford’s ‘Beati Quorum Via’, ‘Diaphenia’ and ‘The Bluebird’, Saint-Saens’, ‘Les Fleurs et les Arbres’ and ‘Calme des Nuits.’ The Latin American theme of the feature work is supported by the Ramirez ‘Alfonsia y el Mar’, ‘Mata del Anima Sola’ by Antonio Estevez, the whole affair being topped off by Kinley Lange’s ‘Esto les Digo.’
