Way of the Cross for Migrant Workers
Journey with the Lord
Experience the presence of our Lord through the Migrant Workers “Way of the Cross.” Join us at the Holy Rosary Hall 646 Richards St on Saturday April 5th from 2:00 – 4:30 pm.
Registration will open at 1:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Some select agencies will be present providing support for practical requirements such as employment or immigration questions. For more information contact Evelyn Vollet, director Office of Service & Justice [email protected].
The following groups will be providing free services before & after the Stations of the Cross for Migrants & Refugees:
- West Coast Domestic Workers’ Association: provide info, advice and representation on immigration and employment matters.
- Migrant BC: “Asserts that Filipino Migrants deserves the greatest promotion and protection of their rights.
- Multicultural Helping House Society: Free information on settlement- job searches, form filling, taxes, healthcare, child benefits, and temporary housing to newcomers and individuals in crisis.
- Immigration Services Society of BC: Information on Settlement and Employment, Career Options and wide Referrals to numerous programs and communities and temporary accommodations.
- Rudolf (Rudi) Kischer: Immigration Lawyer
