Writing a Story is Like Baking a Cake
Whether you’re writing a true story or making everything up, there are specific things that every story needs. N. J. will share the recipe she’s used to write novels and short stories as well as memoir and true stories. There will also be a time for questions on any aspect of writing.
N. J. Lindquist is an award-winning author, a motivational speaker, and an empowering teacher who loves helping people live joyful and meaningful lives. Her published work includes five coming-of-age novels, five Hot Apple Cider anthologies, and numerous short stories, columns, and articles. As J. A. Menzies, she writes the Manziuk and Ryan mysteries.
Les Lindquist, after 34+ years at IBM, has retired as an executive consultant. He has learned much through research and experience about the intricacies of the rapidly changing world of publishing, both from the author and publisher viewpoints.
