The Canadian Company of Pilgrims invites everyone interested in the spiritual aspects of the Camino de Santiago to an evening with John Brierley, author of the most popular English language guide books on the Camino.
John has been a devotee of the Camino and its ability to connect people to their own spiritual journey since the 1990’s.
“A lot of people head off on the Camino with the mindset that it’s a long distance walk but something, you know, absolutely always happens. A pilgrimage, a pilgrim route, by definition, is a spiritual path, so anybody putting themselves on an overtly pilgrimage route is heading off on a spiritual journey…, an inner journey of self discovery as opposed to a discovery of the landscape. Pilgrimage is both, but critically and crucially, it is also an inner journey.”
