Join us this Saturday for a Bible reading adventure (!) and discussion at Jericho Beach, site of the Vancouver Folk Music Festival.

Bring: Your Bible, a lawn chair or something to sit on, and a bottle of water or whatever you wish. Evenings can be cool, so a sweater is advisable.

Discussion: Bring a scripture to share. Something you are interested in or something on a topic of ethnomusicology.

Location: We’ll meet on the sandy beach to the west of the festival. In the map below you will see “Folk Bazaar” in the upper left hand quadrant. Walk past the bazaar along the trail closest to the beach. You will see a little area and a sign commemorating the Jericho Beach Air Station. A few steps beyond that you will see a sign “No Dogs on Beach”. We’ll be on the beach just below that sign.

Parking: Pay parking is available adjacent to the Jericho Beach Sailing Club but may be limited. Free parking may be available further down the beach (to the west) or on the neighbouring streets – read the signs carefully.

Transit: Call (604) 953-3333 and press “0” for transit information.

Bikes: The Folk Festival operates a bike valet along West 4th Ave.

Please RSVP if you are planning to attend. Look forward to seeing you there!

You are not required to attend the Folk Festival for this function. We are just meeting on the beach adjacent to the festival. If you are interested, come early and walk through the interesting Folk Bazaar – it is open to anyone. You may also walk along the length of the beach and along the outskirts of the festival.

“Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” John 20:21 KJV
