You are warmly invited to join us for the launch of Rod Wilson and Peter Harris’s new book, Keeping Faith in Fundraising

Rod Wilson will be delivering a lecture, followed by a Q&A, book signings, and a reception featuring live jazz.

Keeping Faith in Fundraising reflects on the role of fundraising in Christian organizations, exploring ways in which Christians may raise funds with integrity. Both authors bring decades of experience and deep scriptural knowledge to bear on the issue, drawing particularly from 1 Corinthians 8 and 9.

Eugene Peterson said of the book, “Rod Wilson and Peter Harris are two well-trained and practiced companions on the journey of enabling the Christian community to carry on its ministry faithfully. Their Keeping Faith in Fundraising is both accurate in its emphasis and motivational in its focus. It draws our attention to the centrality of our common mission as brothers and sisters to both give and receive money in a way that reflects Jesus.”

Rod Wilson is well known and loved in the Regent Community. He served as President of Regent College from 2000-2015. Originally trained as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Wilson pursued theological training after completing his doctoral work. He has been involved in the field of counselling and consulting for over thirty years and has held various positions at Tyndale College and Seminary in Toronto from 1978 to 1995. Dr. Wilson is the author of Counseling and Community and How Do I Help a Hurting Friend?—both award-winning books—and the co-author of Exploring Your Anger and Helping Angry People. He lives in Vancouver, BC with his wife, Bev.

Peter Harris co-founded A Rocha Canada. He worked as an English teacher at Christ’s Hospital, and then as an Anglican clergyman near Liverpool, UK. In 1983, Peter and his wife Miranda moved to Portugal to establish and run A Rocha’s first field study centre and bird observatory. They have since overseen the establishment of other centres in Europe, and have been deeply involved in resourcing the growing movement of Christian environmentalism. They are currently based in the UK, and will unfortunately not be able to attend the Vancouver book launch. The A Rocha story is told in Peter’s first two books: Under the Bright Wings (Regent College Publishing, 2000), and Kingfisher’s Fire (Monarch, 2008).

We hope to see you out for the launch of this important and useful new book!
