“The Nations Praying Together”

None of us would doubt the truth that God’s house – God’s family – is open to all.  The church is to be the nations of the world praying together. As these “nations” come to Canada, what is the role of the Christian ELT instructor in realizing this ideal at the local level? To answer this question, we will consider five metaphors: the ELT teacher as caretaker, doorkeeper, bridge-builder, interpreter, and advocate.
