Meet Our January Guest Speaker: Chris Harvey
Co-founder | Chief Creative Officer, Outsyders
Chris Harvey is an award-winning VFX Supervisor and Creative Director with over two decades of experience shaping the visual identity of major studio films, episodic projects, and high-concept shorts. A member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Chris has led visual effects on titles such as Leave the World Behind, 65, Bloodshot, Zero Dark Thirty, Chappie, TRON: Legacy, and Netflix’s House of Dynamite, spanning partnerships with Sony Pictures, Netflix, Oats Studios, and Industrial Light & Magic.
Known for his mix of technical precision and creative originality, Chris has held senior roles at Image Engine, ILM, Prime Focus, and Frantic Films before co-founding Outsyders, where he now serves as Chief Creative Officer. His portfolio also includes genre-defining short films from Oats Studios and immersive projects like Prehistoric Planet Immersive. With a background in character animation and technical direction, and early career credits stretching back to The Italian Job and Scooby-Doo 2, Chris brings rare depth across both artistic and technical VFX disciplines.
