On Wednesday, January 31, the Thomas Merton Society of Canada invites you to the St. Andrew’s Sanctuary to celebrate the life of Thomas Merton: monk, poet, author, religious thinker, social critic and jazz lover (b. Jan. 31, 1915; d. 1968). The party will feature music by Quintessential Jazz, a talk by guest speaker Ron Dart, poetry and refreshments. You’ll also get the chance to see the “Dispossessed but Defiant” photo exhibit by the CJPME Foundation in the Sanctuary, exploring global experiences of dispossession.
