“It is the obligation of every person born in a safer room to open the door when someone in danger knocks.”

— Dina Nayeri

Christmas is a time of reflection – about what the past year has brought us. For many, it is a time of joy and thanksgiving, while for others it brings difficult memories of what has been lost along the way.

This year we would like to come together to foster a conversation about the practical, spiritual, and social challenges and opportunities associated with being a newcomer to Canada, as well as the challenges and opportunities of welcoming others and helping them to build a home here.

Join us on December 6th as we fellowship with three families who have come to Canada through the refugee settlement program, as they share their story of coming to Canada and finding their home in BC.

We will also be hearing from some of the local people and organizations who have come alongside them on their journey, welcoming them and supporting them through the highs and lows.

We are looking forward to having a heartfelt discussion with these families and would love for you to join us there.

7:00AM – Coffee before breakfast (for you earlybirds!)
7:15AM – Light breakfast
7:45AM – Discussion
