Community Garden Managers Meetup | Saturday October 5th, 2013

Calling Community Garden Coordinators & Managers in Metro Vancouver & Fraser Valley! 

Come and celebrate your Garden’s successes with your peers, and talk about ‘what worked well’ and what ‘issues’ arose for you this year. We’ll have a facilitated sharing time. Bring your questions and concerns and pick each other’s brains. 

We want to learn from each other and share new ideas on coordinating a Community Garden, urban food growing tips and site development. This is a networking event by A Rocha’s Community Garden Network.

It will be hosted at A Rocha’s Brooksdale Environmental Centre, at our Harvest Celebration Day. Come to see our 2 acre CSA Vegetable Garden, and participate in the Volunteer Work-Party in the morning, includes lunch. Harvest Celebration Activities include apple cider press, live music and tasty treats.

Outline of Time Together, Saturday October 5th.
10am – 12:30pm Mingle & Volunteer on the Farm, 12:30pm Site Tour – Learn about A Rocha Canada
1 – 1:30pm Lunch for Volunteers
2 -3pm Garden Coordinators Discussion
