From the website of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, which is partnering with First Baptist Church:

Every year, the City of Vancouver joins communities and organizations to raise  public awareness on homelessness issues – thus, Homelessness Action Week : October 7 to October 13.

The Advocacy Office of St. Paul’s partners with the First Baptist Church annually to provide some much needed services for the homeless and poverty situations all under one roof.

Date: Monday, October 8th, all day | (Thanksgiving Day) at First Baptist Church

Some services we provide include:
-Free Optometrist & glasses
-Free Hearing tests
-Dental Hygiene Advice
-Free haircuts
-Income Tax filing
-Advocacy
-Free Sandwich Lunches
-Coffee, Tea and sweet treats

What we need:

– small shampoos      – bars of soap               – razors                – band-aids

– socks                           – fit all gloves              – hand lotions

If you wish to donate any of the above items, please bring them to the Advocacy Office.

We are also looking for volunteers to prepare sandwiches after the 11am service/coffee & tea fellowship on Sunday Sept 30, 2018.
