Who is David?

David W. Shenk was born and grew up in Tanzania, East Africa, where his parents were pioneer missionaries. David has traveled to some ninety countries and has taught extensively on the issues of Christian faith in a world of religious pluralism, with a special interest in Christian-Muslim relations.

He has authored over a dozen books, including Christian. Muslim. Friend., Justice, Peace and Reconciliation in Africa, A Muslim and a Christian in Dialogue, Global Gods: Exploring the Role of Religions in Modern Societies, and Practicing Truth.

David and Grace live in Pennsylvania, USA. God has blessed them with four children and five grandchildren. They have been partners in MB Mission’s training of cross-cultural workers for many years.

Christians and local churches seeking real friendships with Muslim neighbours and co-workers that makes space for the Good News of Jesus to transform us all.
