Trinity Western University’s School of the Arts, Media, and Culture presents: Dreams. An evening of music performed by the SAMC Orchestra and Concert Band.
The concert begins with the SAMC Orchestra playing the rousing overture to Bellini’s opera Norma and the Symphony No. 2 “Little Russian” by Tchaikovsky, which is woven together from Russian folk tunes. Nocturnes, dreams and sleep are then blended together by SAMC Concert Band into a set which includes Earle Hagen’s “Harlem Nocturne”, music from “The Greatest Showman”, and compositions by Mendelssohn and Whitacre.
