Our upcoming concert in May features the United Voices Choir singing two masterpieces of the sacred choral repertoire. Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem is one of the most beloved choral pieces, rich with beautiful melodies, harmonies, and moments of joy.

Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna is a haunting reflection of the 1000 year old text translated about Eternal light. Lauridsen’s music is very evocative of the West coast in colour and mood, as he wrote the piece on the San Juan Islands just south of Vancouver.

This concert runs approximately 1.5 hours with an intermission.

United Voices and Chamber Orchestra is a Music Ministry program of Dunbar Ryerson United Church.
