Technology is accelerating the pace of life and reshaping how we live, relate, and work. As speed, constant change, and disruption become the new normal, many of the challenges we face can no longer be treated as merely complicated problems to be solved with better tools or tighter control. They are morphing into complex phenomena: dynamic, interconnected, and shaped by emergence, feedback loops, and uncertainty.
In this brief session, we will explore complexity as a discipline and as a practical lens for navigating today’s networked reality. What does it mean to live and lead in a complex environment? How do opportunities and risks change when outcomes can’t be fully predicted? What is emergence, and how can we respond to it without falling into paralysis or oversimplification? And, more personally, what does it mean to be me today when identity, relationships, and work are increasingly shaped by systems we don’t fully see?
