We can’t truly love a person until we get to know them intimately. Nor can we incarnate God’s love in our neighbourhood until we’ve gotten to know it intimately.

This workshop, structured for hands-on adult learners, provides practical guidance for gaining deep insight about the character of the place where you are doing ministry or planning to do ministry. You’ll learn how to use demographic information, interviews, walking tours, your local library and other methods in a team approach.

The workshop is led by Glenn Smith, who is Executive Director of Christian Direction in Montreal, Senior Associate for Large Cities on the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelisation, and faculty of urban mission at numerous universities and seminaries.

Lunch and demographic data for Metro Vancouver are provided. More details will be posted soon.

The venue is easily reached from Skytrain’s Gilmore Station. There is street parking on Henning Drive, and pay parking lot at the corner of Boundary and Lougheed.  Please do not park at Earls or Swiss Chalet or you will be towed.
