You are invited to be part of a gathering to celebrate the installation of two Musqueam weavings by Debra Sparrow at Christ Church Cathedral, situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
The blankets will be a visual reminder of the ongoing commitment of the congregation to listen, learn and unlearn on the path to form right relations with First Nations neighbours.
Program starts at 4:15pm and includes the Shine-On Musicians performing music inspired by Golden Threads from Heaven, composed by Darren Xu.
Refreshments will follow.
