BC Parents have now lost all their rights – Rally

Earlier this year the Supreme Court of BC ruled that a 14-year old girl does not need parental consent to undergo body-altering and permanent treatments (cross-sex hormones). Furthermore, the judge ruled that it is “family violence” for her father to refer to his daughter as female, or use female pronouns. If you want more information about this case, refer  here: or you can see Albert Mohler’s analysis here: .

This has enormous implications for parents, but especially for Christians, as the legal groundwork is now completely in place to remove Christian children out of their parents homes if they do not fully affirm a gender and medical transition of one of their children.

On Saturday June 15th, 10:30-12:30am down at the Art Gallery (Robson St) there will be a rally for parental rights and free speech.

We need you to promote this however you can in order that we can make a big statement. For the better or worse, the only messages that seem to change society these days are rallies, protests and public statements. Most of our elected officials, even conservative ones, are silent on even the most basic issues of Charter rights. We need to, as the rally is called, Step Up and Speak Up. Please forward this information as widely as possible. The promotional video is available here:
There is also a video for church audiences that can be shown to small groups or in a church service here:

Here are the further details:

Our nation is on the edge of a precipice. In February, the Supreme Court of B.C. ruled that a fourteen-year old girl who identifies as a boy can take irreversible cross-sex hormones without parental consent whatsoever.  More than that, the judge ruled that if her father (“Clark”) calls his teenage daughter his daughter, uses her given name, or uses female pronouns to refer to her, he will be charged for committing “family violence”.

This ruling constitutes the greatest attack on parental rights and freedom of speech ever in North America–an attack that cannot go unanswered.

On June 15th a rally will take place on the steps of the Vancouver Art Gallery, facing Robson. We will gather from 10:30-12:30 to listen to speakers from people of all political stripes, ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs, experiences, and gender and sexual identities. Our right to protect our children, and our right to free speech cross all these boundaries. If left unconfronted, these recent events and court rulings will forever alter our nation for the worse.

The pillars of family and democracy are crumbling in our nation and transgender ideology has been used to remove the Charter rights of Canadians. We are now only a half-step away from the State entering your home and removing your children, or arresting you for questioning transgender ideology. You must not wait until that moment to act–the time is now.

This is an historic moment. And your presence will make the difference. Use your voice now, or your children and grand-children will not have one. Join us to send a loud, clear message to our community leaders, elected officials, and judges, that we will not sacrifice our children or the interests of our nation to an ideology that has no basis in science, nor leads to a healthy and prosperous society. On June 15th, stand up and speak up.

  1. All this transgender stuff is getting out of hand. The solution is so simple. You have to be 19 to drink so why not do the same with transgender hormone therapy.

  2. 14 is old enough to decide what you are, what you feel like you are inside and if your parent denies you of that it IS ABUSE. What a disgusting rally . . . shame on you “christians.” Jesus was accepting of everyone; if you actually followed his teachings you would understand that.

    • Six year old autistic children are vulnerable and easily manipulated. Parents of such children have rights established by the UN Conventions on the Family, and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Indoctrinating children without consent is abuse. Jesus did accept everyone, but he didn’t accept all ideas.

Jesus said “But whoever shall offend one of these little ones . . . it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

    • 14 is by no means “old enough” to make life altering decisions that are irreversible.
      That is child abuse.

      • A name change is reversible. A wardrobe change is reversible. HRT is largely reversible. The system is not handing out genital surgeries to early transition trans youth.

      • The costs of denying a youth access to desperately needed care for gender dysphoria can be irreversible. As, tragically, in the Leelah Alcorn case. The severe personal costs of untreated gender dysphoria have been happening for generations but now that sufferers are more comfortable coming out of the shadows, unfortunately the reaction from some is to assume our greater comfort with coming forward means that our existence is a recent trend.

  3. How does protecting a trans kid from an abusive parent “ideology?” Ridiculous. Trans people’s identities are supported by science. Some trans people are Christians – how dare you imply that trans existence is counter to Christianity. Jesus blesses the eunuch – analogous to trans people.

    • Up to half the children participating at the Tavistock Gender Clinic are people with autism. That is not due to “abusive parenting,” but educational indoctrination. Gender ideology cannot be measured or tested empirically, thus could never be described as scientific.

And Jesus said in Matthew 19:4 “God created them male and female,” and God doesn’t make mistakes. Peace.

      • I have many trans acquaintances on the autism spectrum. The one quality doesn’t invalidate the other. People with autism have the right to make their own decisions just like anybody else.

        • People with autism do not have the capability to make a decision – they are not “just like anybody else” – they have specially needs, some are mentally challenged.
These vulnerable people are being exploited.

          • I suggest you talk to one of the many articulate, intelligent trans adults on the autism spectrum before making these kind of assumptions.

      • Actually the social value of providing access to trans care can be found empirically.

        For example this metastudy

“We conducted a systematic literature review of all peer-reviewed articles published in English between 1991 and June 2017 that assess the effect of gender transition on transgender well-being. We identified 56 studies that consist of primary research on this topic, of which 52 (93%) found that gender transition improves the overall well-being of transgender people, while 4 (7%) report mixed or null findings. We found no studies concluding that gender transition causes overall harm. . . .

This search found a robust international consensus in the peer-reviewed literature that gender transition, including medical treatments such as hormone therapy and surgeries, improves the overall well-being of transgender individuals. The literature also indicates that greater availability of medical and social support for gender transition contributes to better quality of life for those who identify as transgender.”
