The Health Ethics Seminar covers foundational health ethics content including:
- Respect for persons and respect for autonomy, capacity, and informed consent
- Substitute decision making, substituted judgment and the best interests standard
- Ethical considerations with involuntary treatment
- Health ethics and the law
- Ethical issues at early life and end of life
- Ethical considerations for intervening when there are risks of harm to self and to others, and more!
The Health Ethics Conference will explore the theme of trust in health care and what it means to rebuild trust when it has been lost.
