St Helen’s Church presents a special opportunity to hear the ancient and modern music of Syria and the Middle East played by acclaimed Oud player and recent refugee Farooq Al-Sajee. In this interactive recital, Mr. Al-Sajee will share in his vast knowledge of Andalusian oriental melodies from centuries past, enlightening us on the particular scales and rhythms that make this repertoire so special.
