Come learn through an interactive workshop about the situation of migrant agriculture workers in Canada and engage in the discussion on ways you can get involved in their struggle for dignity. We will be talking on challenges that workers face everyday in Canada, such as: employers’ abusive labour practices; lack of protection of workers’ health and safety at the workplace; housing conditions; the participation of the Mexican Consulates in blacklisting migrant workers; lack of enforcement of and change in regulations that could protect workers in Canada; among others.

We will engage in a group activity, watch a short video, and have group discussion.

The workshop will be facilitated by Alexandra Henao and Gil Aguilar, whose knowledge and experience comes from years of being alongside migrant agricultural workers.
