Join us this summer for Wednesday Lunchtime Conversations: your chance to engage with Regent’s world-class summer faculty and special guests around ideas and questions that matter for our lives today. The speakers and topics are different each week, so there’s always something new to explore.

This week, summer faculty member Joy Marie Clarkson and Regent staff member James Smoker discuss art, spiritual formation, and community. Join us at noon in Room 100, and feel free to bring your lunch—and your questions.

Joy Marie Clarkson is an author, podcaster, and editor. She is currently serving as Research Associate in Theology & Literature at King’s College London and Books and Culture Editor at Plough Quarterly. She joins us this summer to teach After Disenchantment from July 10 to 14.

James Smoker is the Registrar of Regent College. He is currently working on a doctoral dissertation focused on the theology of the English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

Wednesday Lunchtime Conversations will be offered onsite at Regent College. These events are open to the public, and no registration is required.

While these lunchtime events will not be available online, many of the faculty participants are also delivering Evening Public Lectures that will be livestreamed and available for a limited time on Regent’s YouTube channel. Visit to learn more!
