This Saturday 20 June 2015, thousands of refugee claimants across Canada will have access to the new Refugee Hearing Preparation: A Guide for Refugee Claimants (RHP Guide). It’s a great way to celebrate World Refugee Day!

Last year over 13,000 people arrived in Canada seeking refugee protection, many experiencing homelessness, trauma, isolation, lack of information, and the substantial challenge of accessing our refugee protection system.

Kinbrace is working to change that. The new RHP Guide provides critical legal, practical, and personal guidance on how to prepare for a refugee hearing – the most important event in the refugee determination process.

Originally designed and written by Kinbrace for Metro Vancouver, the RHP Guide is now ready for release in Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Calgary. It is uniquely adapted to each region and, with the generous help of partners across the country, will be launched first in English (online) and then translated and released (online and printed) in 10 languages on a priority and region-specific basis by Fall 2015.

If you can’t join in person, show your support by sharing this good news on Facebook or Twitter.  And, you can donate:  buy a bundle of RHP Guides and we’ll get them directly to refugee claimants!
