In 1994, the Rwandan genocide claimed the lives of 800,000 people in just 100 days. During that year, 16-year-old Eric Irivuzumugabe climbed a cypress tree and remained there for 15 days without food or water, attempting to save his own life. His story is one of hope in the face of unbelievable tragedy.

All are invited to come and hear Eric tell his story of survival, forgiveness, and faith. His presentation will include excerpts from his recent book, My Father, Maker of the Trees: How I Survived the Rwandan Genocide.
