Learn the basic of making your own all-natural cosmetics in this DIY workshop. Ever wonder if the bath and beauty products you daily use on your body are good for you and the environment. Unfortunately many of the off-the-shelf cosmetic products we use do contain toxins that are absorbed by our skin and also get washed away into the environment. Take charge of your health by taking charge of your beauty.
Through easy to follow, step-by-step, hands-on instruction, you will learn:
- About the basic ingredients needed to to make your all-natural cosmetics,
- How to make hand soap,
- How to make face wash,
- And how to make bath salts.
You’ll take home each of the things you make (a $25 retail value) as well as the recipes, so you can make more whenever you run out.
All products can be made scent neutral for those with sensitivities or allergies. Your home made cosmetics will be made from all natural ingredients, free of additives, preservatives or other chemicals that can be harmful for health and the environment.
About the Instructor
Norma Hogan first learned about the basic principles of natural cosmetics at a David Suzuki Foundation Queen of Green workshop over ten years ago. Since then she has been making her own cleaning and cosmetic products, selling them and other green products under her brands Ahimsa Green Products, as well as leading workshops. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge in this fun and simple workshop!
