Grace Vancouver Church will host ‘No One Should Be Alone: Mental Health and the Church’ on Saturday, April 30 from 10:00am-1:00pm. The conference, themed ‘No One Should Be Alone’, aims to network, educate and provide practical resources for helping individuals in the church and community affected by mental illness.

This three-hour conference will feature a plenary talk on “Mental Health 101” from Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries, a local charitable organization committed to preparing people of faith to support mental health recovery within their community.

A panel discussion and testimonials will follow, addressing topics such as anxiety, depression and alzheimer’s disease. Specialists on the panel include Grace Voo, clinic director of Soma Counselling & Family Resources, and Dr. Brian MacVicar, director of the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health at the University of British Columbia.

Tickets are free, with donations accepted at the door. Childcare will also be available for those attending the event.
