Telugu Christians and Friends of Pakistan and are holding a prayer vigil in association with Pakistan Canada Cultural Association BC (PCCA) Free Methodist Church, Tamil Church, Malayalam Church, VATA. Punjabi Church and Coalition Against Bigotry, Guru NANAK Sikh Gurdwara, Amazing Children Tutors Foundation, for the victims and their families of Srilankan Churches where more than 200 people were killed in a terrorist attack on Easter Sunday, April 21st, 2019. It is the deadliest attack to date on Peace worshippers.

At least 200 people have been killed and hundreds more wounded in a series of explosions at churches and hotels across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. At least eight bombings have been reported, with three churches in Kochchikade, Negombo and Batticaloa targeted during Easter services. Three hotels in the capital Colombo were also hit, followed by two more blasts at a small hotel and a housing complex on the outskirts of the city.

Telugu Christians in association with above-mentioned organizations will lead a prayer vigil and memorial service in solidarity with the congregations of the other Church in Sri Lanka. The organizers state a vigil is a place for Christians of all denominations as well as people of all faiths and beliefs to come together in solidarity.
