Dr. David Henderson will look at the task of combining faith with work, which can often seem onerous, with many feeling that bringing God to the workplace risks being artificial, intrusive, and insincere. But what would change if we thought of God as already present in our daily labors, shaping the very ground that is work’s fundamental nature?
Dr. David Henderson explores the possibility of such a sacramental view of work in his reflection on certain key passages from the Old Testament. Inspired by the writings and witness of John Paul II, Dr. Henderson will challenge us to consider that the inner, sacrificial character of human labor already reflects a profound encounter with a divine work that precedes and shapes our own.
