The Church is facing a mental health crisis. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health challenge at some point in their life and yet, as the Church, we struggle to know how to journey with them through it. People often reach out to the Church before mental health professionals but what does it look like to demonstrate the Gospel by making space for and welcoming those with mental health challenges?
During this webinar, we will be discussing what Jesus teaches us about mental health, how we can support those with mental health illness or mental health challenges, and how caring for mental health is part of God’s redemptive plan.
Shaila Visser, National Director of Alpha Canada, will be joined by Dr. John Swinton, Chair in Divinity and Religious Studies at the School of Divinity, History, and Philosophy, University of Aberdeen and Daniel Whitehead, CEO at Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries.
