MacDonald scholar Kirstin Jeffrey Johnson suggested in her introduction to the most recent publication of Heorge MacDonald’s Victorian fantasy novel Lilith (1895) that “Lilith engages with Dante on multiple levels, with greater intensity than in any of MacDonald’s other work.” Join Ron Dart as he reflects on Dante’s Divine Comedy alongside MacDonald’s Lilith.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Ron Dart is a professor at St. Stephen’s University and a long-time member of TWU’s Inklings Institute. He has published widely on the Inklings, Thomas Merton, George Grant and Stephen Leacock, and is an avid mountaineer.
