Is God Anti-Gay Conference
It’s the hot topic of the moment and Christians, the church, and the Bible seem to be at radical odds with the modern attitudes towards homosexuality. Amidst the growing hostility towards those who hold a different view than the cultures, and the often cold unloving responses from the Christian church, this conference seeks to answer the question: Is God anti-gay?
Our speaker, author and Pastor Sam Allberry, shares his approach to this topic while having lived with same-sex attraction since his early teen years. As a unique voice on this topic, he writes in his book that:
“Through it all, as someone who lives with homosexuality, I have found biblical Christianity to be a wonderful source of comfort and joy. God’s word to me on this issue at times feels confusing and difficult. But it is nevertheless deeply and profoundly good. The gospel of Jesus is wonderful news for someone who experiences same-sex attraction.” – Is God anti-gay?(p.10)
This conference aims to equip Christians and skeptics alike to be able to understand and articulate the message of the Bible on this issue, and answer some modern questions and objections surrounding the historical Biblical position.
