Alongside several other faith groups, Earthkeepers will be joining the climate convergence this November 19 at Vancouver City Hall.
This will be a monumental effort led by 100s of organizations and 1000s of common citizens in Metro Vancouver. People from across the spectrum are convinced that we have to put the corporate oil giant from Texas in its place. For the sake of atmospheric and planetary stability, we have to stop Kinder Morgan.
As followers of Jesus, we recognize that by saying ‘no’ to the pipeline expansion in the Burrard Inlet, we are affirming the Way of the God of righteousness and love. This is a big ‘yes’ to life. May God’s kingdom come and God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
March, Rally and Communion
On November 19, from 10 am to 3 pm, we invite you to re-member with us God’s healing work in Christ for all creation. Together with watershed discipleship community Salal and Cedar, Earthkeepers will be gathering for an ecologically-focused Communion meal, as we prepare to march and rally in opposition to the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain expansion.
Join us at:
Spirit of Life Lutheran Church
