Alongside several other faith groups, Earthkeepers will be joining the climate convergence this November 19 at Vancouver City Hall.

This will be a monumental effort led by 100s of organizations and 1000s of common citizens in Metro Vancouver. People from across the spectrum are convinced that we have to put the corporate oil giant from Texas in its place. For the sake of atmospheric and planetary stability, we have to stop Kinder Morgan.

As followers of Jesus, we recognize that by saying ‘no’ to the pipeline expansion in the Burrard Inlet, we are affirming the Way of the God of righteousness and love. This is a big ‘yes’ to life. May God’s kingdom come and God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

March, Rally and Communion

On November 19, from 10 am to 3 pm, we invite you to re-member with us God’s healing work in Christ for all creation. Together with watershed discipleship community Salal and Cedar, Earthkeepers will be gathering for an ecologically-focused Communion meal, as we prepare to march and rally in opposition to the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain expansion.

Join us at:
Spirit of Life Lutheran Church
375 W 10th Ave. Vancouver

Event Programme

From 10 am until the march leaves at noon, the church will provide a space of quiet rest with washrooms and refreshments for seniors, people with disabilities, families with small children, and anyone else preparing for the march.  There will also be a place to consider signing the Pledge of Resistance with other people of faith.
10:30-11:30 Eucharist/Communionall are welcome
11:45 a place for individuals and communities of faith to meet and join the rally together (bring your banners, as we will march as a group)
12:00-3:00 a quiet place for those who cannot make the march to support the event with their prayers
