SongStage is an event showcasing experienced songwriters in the format best described as the Nashville “in the round” style. Songwriters sharing their songs and stories about the songs being performed.

Chris Ronald

Now living in Vancouver, Canada, contemporary folk singer-songwriter Chris Ronald emigrated from his native England in 2002. Influenced by countless British and North American artists of the 60s onward, Ronald’s music has been described as “Canadian folk with British roots,” and The Province likened it to “the country and folk that came out of Laurel Canyon and the British Isles in the mid-seventies.”

Scott Cook

Alberta’s Scott Cook has been living out of a van or a backpack for a dozen years now, touring almost incessantly across Canada, the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and elsewhere, and distilling his experiences into straight-talking, keenly observant verse. He’s been winning many folk music awards and songwriting contests, and has been hailed “one of Canada’s most inspiring and imaginative storytellers”.

Ivan Boudreau

Ivan has been professional musician/songwriter and wandering minstrel for over 45 years, with deep roots in Nova Scotia and his youthful years in Boston and Toronto. He now calls British Columbia home and continues with his driving passion for stories and songs that are honest and heartfelt.
