We “borrowed” this year’s tagline, “Together for the City”, from Neil Powell and John James’ book. They tell the story of 2020birmingham and how a collaborative vision for their city has resulted in church-planting fruitfulness. We look forward to having Neil with us in Vancouver.
It’s not enough to plant individual churches in isolation from each other. The spiritual need and opportunity of our cities is too big for any one church, network, or denomination to meet alone. To truly transform a city, the gospel compels us to create localized, collaborative church planting movements. The more willing we are to collaborate, the more effectively we will reach our communities, whatever their size, for Jesus.

The Gospel & Our Cities conference is brought to you by City to City North America in partnership with C2C Collective, and Churches Together (learn more). These three groups are working together to bring assessment, coaching and training to churches and individuals who want to establish new churches in Canada. A special thank you to both Westside Church (Vancouver) and Northview Church (Abbotsford) who are our local hosts.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This conference is open to everyone, but has been specifically designed with leaders who are thinking, dreaming, and praying about gospel-multiplication in mind. Leaders from any North American city will find encouragement and equipping, but Vancouver 2020 will have a special focus on Canadian leaders and Canadian realities.
The themes of Gospel, City and Movement Dynamics will frame our sessions.
None of us can accomplish “Jesus Mission” ALONE! If God, by His Spirit, has been speaking to you about collaboration for the sake of your city and for the sake of the Gospel, then this conference is for you!
