Victory Square Cenotaph · 200 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC
Admission: Free · All are welcome · No registration required

Join Vancouver residents, veterans, serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces, cadets and families at the historic Victory Square Cenotaph for a time of remembrance and gratitude. The annual civic commemoration honours those who served Canada, those who gave their lives, and all who have been affected by war and conflict.

The morning traditionally includes a veterans’ procession, ceremonial music, prayers and reflections, wreath-laying, and the two-minute silence at 11:00 a.m. The parade takes place around the ceremony and along nearby downtown streets.

Plan your visit: Arrive by about 9:45 a.m. to find a viewing place. The ceremony is outdoors, rain or shine. Expect busy streets and possible traffic restrictions near West Hastings and Cambie; public transit is recommended.

Note: The event date and location are confirmed, but the 2026 running order and times above are estimates based on customary arrangements. Please check the City of Vancouver for the final programme closer to November 11.

City of Vancouver: official remembrance information

This is a public civic commemoration organized by the Vancouver Remembrance Day Committee with City support, not a church-organized event. All are welcome.
