Program Overview

This program of study includes 18 two-credit college-level courses that will walk you through the entire Bible. Each course is eight weeks long (one evening per week). Classes include lecture, discussion, and out-of-class assignments. These are exciting but also serious courses designed to call forth your best efforts as you learn the joys of studying God’s inspired and inerrant Word at a deeper level.

You do not have to commit to a program to take and enjoy a Willingdon School of the Bible course. Many people take courses for personal spiritual growth and the fellowship they enjoy with other believers. Being transformed into the image of Jesus through study of the Scriptures should be a life-long commitment, and a joy to do.

Programs of Study: Many students will want to follow a more systematic study of Scripture. For those we offer three levels of achievement:

Core Certificate in Biblical Studies: six (6) foundational courses: WSB 110, 120, 130 and WSB 201, 301, and 304.

Advanced Certificate in Biblical Studies: building on the Core Certificate courses, students complete another six courses for a total of twelve (12) courses.

Diploma in Biblical Studies: in addition to the Advanced Certificate courses, students complete another six courses for a total of eighteen (18) courses.

Please download the Academic Catalogue (download at the top) for more details.

WSB 110 (Old Testament Panorama), WSB 120 (New Testament Panorama), and WSB 130 (Introduction to Biblical Studies) are prerequisite for all other courses. New students are encouraged to begin in the Fall Term with WSB 110, but may enroll in Winter Term (WSB 120) or Spring Term (WSB 130). To continue on in a program to take higher level courses for credit, these three foundational courses must be completed.
