Mission Fest BC 2026 will be held in Chilliwack February 12 – 14.
Mission Fest BC 2026 is coming up in a couple of weeks, and Director James Bonney recently wrote a request to members of the broader church community to tell others about Mission Fest and to encourage everyone to participate.
Dear church leaders, pastors and the always-amazing church administrators,
On behalf of Mission Central, I just want to say thank you! Your heart to champion and help charter the course of so many missionaries is amazing and makes a difference.
It’s always difficult to ask people to promote or share what’s going on without feeling a “self-serving sense”; but my conviction is that Mission Fest BC is really good for the body of Christ. There’s no motive other than making known to His people all the ways Jesus is transforming and deploying disciples around the world!
With [two] Sundays left before Mission Fest BC (February 12 – 14) I would love to ask you to get the word out in any way you feel would be seen or heard by your people.
You could announce it on Sunday, put it in your looping slides or bulletin or include it in your newsletter – or any other way you share upcoming events or announcements. We’ve got a media kit prepared with copy, video and images you can use right away.
Thank you for reading this and considering helping us get the word out!
Sincerely,
James Bonney, Director
Mission Fest (Mission Central)
What’s new with Mission Fest?
Not everyone knows that the Mission Fest conferences are still happening in BC – and we get it! The theme in 2023 was that we were closing down. If someone isn’t subscribed to our mailing list it’s easy to miss that we’re still here.
If you can think of anyone who might not know that Mission Fest is still happening in BC, please consider forwarding this email to them!
- What are we up to now?
Mission Fest BC is a rallying point for global missions – centred around experiencing Jesus’ manifest love for us. We will worship Jesus, encourage each other and become new (and renewed!) missionaries by surrendering our lives to God.
- What happened to Mission Fest? Didn’t you disappear or something?

James Bonney and Steve Schroeder shortly after they decided to carry on with Mission Fest in 2023.
Here’s a (very) brief timeline to catch you up:
- 1984 – The first Missions Fest Vancouver is held.
- 2017 – Missions Fest Vancouver (the organization) renames itself ‘Mission Central’ to respond to a growing need for year-round mission resources. (The conference is still called Missions Fest Vancouver.)
- 2023 – Due to a variety of factors, Mission Central decides 2023 would be the final year for the conference. Instead, God moves in the heart of Steve Schroeder and a few others to carry Mission Central into a new chapter. The existing board prays and graciously agrees, and Steve, James Bonney and two others sign on as directors.
- 2024 – The 40th Mission Fest Vancouver is hosted at Centre Church in downtown Vancouver. Major themes include waiting patiently on the Lord and letting Him guide every step.
- 2025 – The Lord leads us to move the conference to Chilliwack – and this prompts us to rename the conference “Mission Fest BC”, reflecting a new call to include the whole province. Over 900 students come for the school field trip.
- 2026 – We email you! (And other stuff, but you’re caught up now.)
Mission Fest BC 2026 is free and will be held at Chilliwack Heritage Park, 44140 Luckakuck Way. Go here for the schedule; there will be about 90 exhibitors, along with speakers, a youth rally and evangelism training.
