Enjoy the season of Resurrection with intention and space with God as you engage in solitude at A Rocha’s Brooksdale Environmental Centre. During this 3-day, 2-night retreat we will be using the prayer tool of Lectio Divina as a way to connect with God.
Never been on a silent retreat? That’s okay. You can use the time however you like, whether that’s in times of prayer, reading, walking, journaling, sketching — the sky is limit (as long as it’s a quiet activity – no tubas please :)). And if you’re looking for ideas on how to use your time or would like to reflect on what you’re experiencing, Leah Kostamo, a trained spiritual director, will be on hand to meet with you.
7 pm, April 16th – 5 pm, April 18th
Your stay will include: a private room or shared room*, all meals, morning and evening prayers, optional spiritual direction, access to A Rocha’s nature trails, gardens and heritage guesthouse.
Please note:
- All rooms have shared washrooms.
- If you would like a double room you must register with a friend. We will not be pairing strangers to share a room.
Your facilitator: Leah Kostamo, a trained spiritual director who will be on hand if you’re looking for ideas on how to use your time or would like to reflect on what you’re experiencing.
