Asante Ministries was originally started in Rwanda by a couple of ‘one persons’ – students who wanted to do something to help the orphans in their area. From that humble start in 2001 it spread to helping widows; then to building schools; then to vocational training programs, then to a touring children’s choir. Along the way, many other ‘one persons’ linked up with them in the US, Canada, the UK, and elsewhere who decided that they could accomplish great things together.
Today, Asante Ministries has over 3,000 sponsored children, vocational training programs for widows, three schools attended by over 700 students, and the Asante Children’s Choir.
