Canadian opera star, Ben Heppner, will be the featured speaker at the 2016 Chancellor’s Dinner, sharing his ideas and experience as a man of faith intersecting with the world of music. The topic for his multi-media presentation will be ‘Sacred and Profane – A Remix’. Mr. Heppner was born to a farming family of Mennonite immigrants in Murrayville BC, raised in Dawson Creek, and began his musical training at UBC. He enjoyed a meteroic career in the world of opera, winning numerous awards and appearing in roles at the Metropolitan Opera and in all the major opera houses in Europe and throughout the world.
